Omega 3 is good for cats too

by Jacqueline Sinfield on June 13, 2008

Yesterday I took my cat, Kitty, to the vets for her annual check up. All was well. This was exceedingly good news, because this time last year she was sick. After tests and x-rays she was prescribed a special diet of dry cat food that promotes urinary tract health.

One year later, the vet was pleased she no longer had these symptoms. However, a year of a pretty limited diet, meant her skin had become dry and looked like dandruff in her fur. The remedy? Omega 3!!

I am well versed in the benefits of Omega for adults, particular those adults with ADHD. So I had to smile when I realised not only would I be a strong advocate for Omega 3 rich foods with my clients and myself now it is also extends to Kitty.
