As we are approaching the end of July now it is a great time to think how you would like to spend the rest of the long sunny days before they gently turn into shorter cooler ones.
Summer is usually the most anticipated season, yet it also seems to be the one that speeds by the fastest. To help summer slow down a little, plan and be conscious of the activities you do for the rest of your summer. It barely takes any time and you will be repaid by the joy of the activities you have planned AND the lovely memories you have created.
As you are reading this, grab a piece of paper and pen and start to list all the activities that encapsulate summer to you. They don’t need to be big in terms of time or money. Here are a few examples to inspire you.
Eat an ice cream in a park
Paddle in the ocean
Go for a bike ride
Fly a kite
Eat breakfast outside
See a movie outside
Read a wonderful novel
Wear flip flops
Go for a road trip
Grow something in your garden
Watch a summer blockbuster
Have a picnic
Eat strawberries and cream
Go for a swim.
Visit a local theme park and go on the scariest ride
Go to a botanical garden
Have a pedicure
Play a game of tennis
Take photos
Do a tourist activity in your home town
There will be lots of activities that are meaningful to you that you can add or perhaps there is something you enjoyed as a child. Once you have created your list make a point of doing one of 2 items a week and if you have really enjoyed something you can always do it a second time.
